Marina has been at Nature United since 2017. In that time, she has supported the team through a period of exceptional growth, as the board grew and staff doubled in size.
Before this, Marina worked for the Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic, a non-profit that provides legal and counselling services to women who have experienced violence. She had several roles in her time there, including coordinator for the Family Court Support Program, and executive assistant, supporting the executive director and senior leadership team, along with providing HR support.
She also worked for the Ontario government in its Victim/Witness Assistance Program. Marina has an honours bachelor degree in criminology and sociology from the University of Toronto and an Assaulted Women and Children’s Counsellor/Advocate diploma from George Brown College.
Marina has a passion for photography and birding and can often be found in Toronto’s Tommy Thompson Park, practising her bird identification skills.
