Leah Blechschmidt

Leah Blechschmidt joined Nature United as the Corporate Engagement Advisor for Agriculture in 2023. In this role, she works to advance Nature United’s strategy for implementing Natural Climate Solutions and build awareness of Canadian agriculture as a lever for achieving corporate climate goals. Working with companies to understand their targets and ambitions, she establishes relationships, develops workplans, and works with Nature United’s corporate engagements to implement solutions.

Prior to joining Nature United, Leah worked for an international membership organization for the agricultural community, establishing and running multistakeholder collaborations with actors across food and beverage supply chains. She holds an M.Sc from the University of Guelph that explored the relationship between native pollinator species, on-farm habitat management, and the role of ecosystem goods and services in apple production.
