Cathy Rustermier

Cathy Rustermier is the HR Manager at the J.A. Woollam Company, a premier manufacturer of spectroscopic ellipsometers for research & industry, in Lincoln, Nebraska. The company was started by her father, John Woollam, in 1987. Prior to her current role, she was a high school teacher for at-risk students for 20 years and still remains an advocate for education. 

Cathy integrates her passion for nature into her life and her home, having spent a good part of her life enjoying the outdoors—including summers in Michigan and sailing in the Caribbean with her family. She helps lead her family foundation, the J.A. Woollam Foundation, which supports conservation throughout the world. She is a founding Trustee of The Nature Conservancy’s Caribbean program. Cathy received her Master’s in Education and Administration. She and her husband live in Lincoln, Nebraska with their two children.
